My Foray into Advertising

Check out my new postcard! I’ve just started handing it out and I wanted to put it up here for all those people who might not stumble on to one. Thanks to all those who agreed to be pictured on the card, including my own son who didn’t get much say in the matter- although he does refer to it as “my postcard,” so I guess he’s OK with it. Corkie the Cutey

Is the title too much? Sorry, but it’s true! This dog is 15 1/2 years old and has more spunk per square inch than a lot of dogs half her age. She has a little trouble getting around these days, but doesn’t let that stop her. Chicken scraps are her passion, but her owners Jan and Mike are the loves of her life. I think the feeling is mutual.

Jet the Builder’s Beach Party

We had so much fun at this party on Carmel River Beach. Pia, Jet’s mom, did such a great job with all the details. All the kids wanted to stay forever building sand castles and playing in the water.

Best Boy Tomatoes

Earlier this summer we started a tomato garden in the backyard so that my son would have a fruitful outlet for his watering passion. I nearly killed the plants when I forget to uncover them one morning during a sudden heat wave. The plants that came back have been flourishing and are now full of big green tomatoes, that barring another disaster, we hope will soon be big red tomatoes.
