Allison & Jim Married

Allison & Jim got married at the beautiful Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley. After the ceremony they treated their guests to a delicious multi-course, gourmet dinner, which was prepped in the same room it was served. The toasts were lovely, the night was lovely, and the bride and groom were both radiant.

Meghan & Eric

Full-disclosure: Meghan is a professional dancer and so are many of her friends. Eric is a scientist whose work involves the study of trees. That combination made for a gorgeous ceremony in a redwood grove and a really fun night of dancing at the Berkeley Botanical Gardens. Eric is solid, cool, and one of the sweetest guys I’ve met. Meghan is smart, warm, and funny. They make a terrific couple. It was a warm night, love was in the air, the flowers were blooming. What can I say? It was great.

Here is their engagement session.

Andrea & Channing, Married

Old Whaling Station, Monterey

Maybe it was the fact that this was the first wedding I’ve gotten to photograph at the same place where I got married, maybe it’s because I shot the wedding on my birthday, or maybe it’s because Channing’s family hails from the same area of Eastern Canada where my husband’s family has a cottage, or maybe it’s just because Andrea and Channing are so easy to like, so smart, so photogenic, so friendly, and yes- even a little quirky. (Channing used to be a street magician and put on a little show at the reception. Yes, there were two sets of twins in the wedding party!) Whatever it was, I felt right at home during this beautiful wedding.

Jocelyn & Mark

Jocelyn and Mark’s wedding was just like them, relaxed and beautiful. The day was a perfect mix of traditional and unique. From the moment I stepped into the Memory Gardens in Monterey I felt like I was in a dream. There were lots of personal touches and the day flowed beautifully from start to finish. Jocelyn and Mark’s family and friends seemed to be all of one mind that day, which makes the “group hug” after their ceremony at Colton Hall so perfect.

All in all I pretty much have the best job in the whole wide world.
