A Cozy Vermont Wedding
As a couple, Nathalia and Jackson are one half Brazilian, one half Vermonter, and completely in love. For years they have weathered the challenges of a long-distance relationship. Compared to that, who cares about a little rain? On the day of their wedding, outside it was wet and chilly, inside it was warm and glowing, and joyous.

Corkie the Cutey
Is the title too much? Sorry, but it’s true! This dog is 15 1/2 years old and has more spunk per square inch than a lot of dogs half her age. She has a little trouble getting around these days, but doesn’t let that stop her. Chicken scraps are her passion, but her owners Jan and Mike are the loves of her life. I think the feeling is mutual.

Baby “Lucy”
I could not get enough of this pretty little girl! Her parents, Lisa and Josh do such a great job with her. It was fun watching them all interact. We had a really beautiful morning. The only problem I have since run into was narrowing down the images for this blog post.

YUM!
Yesterday was my birthday, and I just had to share photos of my cake. It was so pretty and so delicious! It’s called a princess cake, for those of you who don’t recognize it. The inside is a simple yellow cake, with layers of whipped cream and vanilla custard, a ribbon of raspberry puree, and the best part is that it is covered in a layer of soft pink marzipan. It’s subtle and the flavors and textures are varied. Such a treat! My husband got this one from the Paris Bakery Cafe here in downtown Monterey. They have a lot of specialties and this cake has got to be one of them!
